Jamie Aramini has written multiple books, including Eat Your Way Around the World, Geography Through Art with Sharon Jeffus, and The Adventures of Munford series. Her freelance writing has been seen in magazines such as 1798, Story Magazine, and New Pioneer. Jamie was a Kentucky Governor’s Scholar and still resides in the Bluegrass State. She lives with her husband, three sons, father, a dog named Fire Dog, a goat named Marmaduke, and two chickens (thankfully not all inside the house).
Jamie is passionate about living simply and promoting community in a world disconnected by consumerism, technology, and busy lifestyles. She created the website Sustainable Kentucky, which highlights sustainable lifestyle choices and the leaders of Kentucky’s green movement. She also organizes the Kentucky Green Living Fair, the state’s largest sustainability event, and her local farmers market. In 2014, Jamie was awarded the Crave Civic Agriculture award for her work as a local food advocate in Kentucky and her journey to being a local food advocate was featured nationwide in New Pioneer Magazine.
